Privacy Policy
- Faceo has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- The photo you pick is sent to our server, compressed, analysed by an AI vision model, and then discarded. We do not store your photos.
- We keep a random device identifier, your daily usage count and the text results of your analyses (estimated age, scores and tips) so the app can show your history and enforce the free daily limit.
- We do not run ads or third-party analytics, and we do not sell data.
- You can ask us to delete everything linked to your device at any time.
1. Who we are
Faceo is operated by Nuvexa (“we”, “us”). Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
2. What the app does
You take or choose a photo of a face. Faceo estimates the person’s age and produces an aesthetic score with a short written review and styling tips. It is an entertainment app. It does not identify who is in the photo, does not compare faces with one another, and does not build a face template or biometric profile.
3. Data we process
| Data | What happens to it | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Your photo | Uploaded over HTTPS, held in server memory only, downscaled and compressed, sent to an AI vision model to generate the result, then released. It is never written to disk or to a database. | Seconds – the duration of one request |
| Device identifier | A random string the app generates on first launch (for example dev-…). It is sent with every request so we can count your free analyses and return your history. It is not your phone number, advertising ID or hardware serial and cannot be linked to you by us. |
Until you ask us to delete it |
| Analysis results | The text output for each analysis: estimated age and range, detected gender, scores, highlights, tips, summary and a timestamp, linked to the device identifier. No image is attached to the record. | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Usage counter | How many analyses your device ran on a given day, used to apply the free daily limit. | Per day; resets at midnight (Asia/Ho_Chi_Minh) |
| Technical logs | Our web server and network provider record standard request metadata (IP address, time, endpoint, response status, app user-agent) for security and troubleshooting. | Up to 90 days |
Camera and photo library
The app asks for camera access only when you tap “Take a photo”, and for photo library access only when you tap “Choose from library”. It reads the single image you select and nothing else. You can revoke either permission in your device settings; the app keeps working with the other option.
4. Why we process it (legal bases)
- To provide the service you asked for – analysing the photo, showing results and history, applying the daily limit (performance of a contract / our legitimate interest in running the app).
- To keep the service secure and working – technical logs, abuse prevention (legitimate interest).
- With your consent – where local law treats analysis of a facial image as requiring consent, you give it by choosing a photo and starting an analysis. You can withdraw it by not using the app and by asking us to delete your data.
5. Who we share data with
- AI vision model provider. Your compressed photo is transmitted to a third-party AI service to generate the age estimate and scores. The image is sent for processing only; we do not permit it to be used to identify you. The provider’s own privacy terms apply to its processing.
- Infrastructure. Cloudflare terminates the HTTPS connection and protects our server; our server is hosted with a cloud provider. Both may process request metadata such as your IP address.
- Legal. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
6. International transfers
Our servers and providers may be located outside your country, including in Vietnam, the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on the safeguards available under applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your data. In the app, open About → Delete my data. This immediately erases every analysis result and past usage counter linked to your device identifier. Today’s usage counter is kept until midnight so that deletion cannot be used to reset the free daily limit. You can also email [email protected] with your Device ID (shown on the About screen) and we will delete the records within 30 days.
- Stop collection. Uninstalling the app stops all collection. Because the identifier lives inside the app, reinstalling creates a new one and the old history is no longer reachable from your device.
- Access, correction, portability, objection. Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, California or Vietnam) you may have additional rights. Contact us and we will respond within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
Faceo is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Do not upload photos of children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the related records.
9. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Photos are processed in memory and never stored. Stored results contain no image and no directly identifying information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we limit what we keep to what the app needs.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
